Gone With The SAT Difficulty...

For all you people out there, I'm pretty sure that at some point in your short lifetimes that you have heard about the scary "SATs". Yes, it's a capitalized and spells out "sat" and all that good stuff. Here is a bit about them. SAT  (Scholastic Aptitude Test, but back in 2004 the name changed to SAT Reasoning Test) is used to predict how well a person will do in college. There is reading comprehension, math, and vocabulary. Each portion of the test is worth 800 points, giving you a total of 2400 points (if you get them all right). But recently, the point value has been lowered to 1600 points. The reason is to "level out the playing field". Here is my logic about the problem:
  1. Test scores are lowered
  2. Difficulty is lowered
  3. School starts becoming easier because of lowered difficulty
  4. People start becoming dumber than they already are
  5. Overall competition goes skyrocketing
Wait, what? Difficulty lowered + easier classes + dumber people =  increased competition

Seems fair, now, doesn't it? Dumber people have to enter a more competitive world than it already is. Try explaining that to the people who make up all these laws.

Murdering Angels

I need to find a better way to blog. First, I'm going to list things that we are all doing/wishing for:
  1. Sleep (I'm wishing for it as ya'll do it)
  2. Spring Break/East Coast Trip
  3. The Killer Angels and all the stupid essays/comprehension questions/vocabulary/etc.
  4. Homework
  5. Pi Day (Next year, it will be 3/14/15, the true pi day. Sadly, it's on a Saturday.)
  6. No homework

Snowfall

First post of March! The east coast trip is right around the corner...so excited! Schools in the east are closed due to heavy snowfall, so get ready for lots of packing. Ok, back to some more academic topics. For The Killer Angels, if you are too lazy to read every, single page, go on: http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/killerangels/
It has summaries by chapter and plot/character analysis.
http://www.cliffsnotes.com/literature/k/the-killer-angels/about-the-killer-angels
This is a little more in-depth analysis with extra information too!
Hope this all helps, if anybody even sees it, that is.
